Exploring the mind of a killer
The making of a killer differs from person to person. The kind of psychopath someone becomes depends on all kinds of things, like genetics, brain damage, and their interaction with their environment. Depending on the events in their life, the kind of killer they become changes.
A reason for the brain damage has to do with Major Violence genes (MOA-A genes). MOA-A genes are sex linked, coming from the X-chromosome. Typically, male psychopaths get this from their mother. Since it isn't balanced, some males tend to have an overdose of serotonin, which is supposed to make people calm and relaxed. Since there is so much serotonin from early on, the brain is desensitized from the serotonin when it is actually needed.
Another reason for brain damage has to do with some sort of trauma that happened during puberty. It's typically something violent, like playing a violent game or witnessing violent tv.
